The Goodnight Memorial Library has signed on to the Kentucky Libraries Unbound consortium and the NetLibrary to bring you even more resources and variety! Through this program, you are able to download free of charge e-books, audiobooks, music and classic movies to your PC, e-book reader (except for Amazon's Kindle*), MP3 player or Apple device. The book listing will tell you how you can use it - whether or not you can burn it to CDs, use it on an iPod or whatever! To use the service, you must possess a valid library card and be in good standing with the library. This service may require software to be downloaded and installed on your machine to use the service. The KY Libraries Unbound program is used just like the library. When you are ready to check out a title, enter your ENTIRE library card number (421340000xxxxx) and the last four digits of your card number as your PIN. Then you will be able to check out all the items in your cart. If you need more help with the KY Libraries Unbound program, please use the online help section. The NetLibrary is a little different in that we will need to set up your account with the service the first time you use it. This means that you will have to come to the library at least once to use this service, but once you have done that, you can access your account at any time from any computer anywhere you have Internet access. * Kindle is a proprietary device created by Amazon.com that uses a proprietary (Kindle/Amazon.com-only) file format for its e-books, and will not work with the KY Libraries Unbound titles.
