The Goodnight Auditorium
In existence since the Library's completion in 1937, the Goodnight Auditorium has been the site of many plays, conferences and concerts over the years. The main stage has a viewable area (inside the curtains) of approximately 14' x 27', with dressing rooms on the sides. The auditorium will seat around 650 people.
In this photo you can see the construction of the set for the Arts Council's 2008 production of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”. The ladder in the picture is 8' tall, so you can get an idea of size.
The Meeting Room
Originally used as a music room, the Ella Hoy Goodnight Music Club has used this space for their events, and the Franklin Rotary Club and the AARP Chapter meet here regularly. This room will handle up to 90 people and has a warming kitchen and restrooms. There are folding tables & chairs, as well as availability of a large-screen TV, and DVD & VHS players. We also have an LCD projector and screens for presentations. A microphone is also available. For use of the microphone, projector and other equipment, please inquire when reserving your space.
This is the bare room. For some pictures of this room in action, see our Children's Services page.
The Legion Room
Located at the back of the building, the Legion Room will accomodate up to 35 people. There are tables & chairs, a lower level with a microwave, sink and refrigerator. It is the perfect size for birthday parties, and the Franklin Duplicate Bridge Club meets here regularly.
The Conference Room
A great little room for a small group of up to 10 people. This room features bright lighting and available Internet service via wireless access. There are no charges associated with this room and is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
We regularly have both Cub Scout Packs and Girl Scout Troops meet in this room.
Our Room Rental Policy describes the charges fully. Click to read it, and you'll need a PDF document reader. Adobe's Reader is available here. If you would like further information, please e-mail or call Roxanne or Stephanie at (270) 586-8397.
